Orpington Endoscopy Centre achieve coveted JAG accreditation

Congratulations to our wonderful team at the Orpington Endoscopy Centre on achieving their JAG Accreditation for providing the highest quality care. This recognition and accreditation come after a rigorous assessment by the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) of the Royal College of Physicians and British Society of Gastroenterology. This is a huge achievement for the team, who have shown true resilience, which has been founded on effective leadership and forward planning.

What is JAG accreditation?

The job of the JAG is to define a high-quality, safe and appropriate endoscopy service, delivered by a highly-trained, highly-supported and highly-motivated workforce. To achieve the JAG accreditation, healthcare providers have to demonstrate excellence across several areas, including clinical quality, patient experience and staff training.

By participating in accreditation, services are enrolled on an ongoing programme of service and quality improvement. At Healthshare, we are committed to always finding new ways to improve our services, so the JAG accreditation is a great fit for us.

Amanda Whitton, Endoscopy Manager, said: “We are thrilled with the outcome and of our success, which is all owed to our incredible team in the unit who continue to deliver a high quality service every day.

“I feel so proud to work alongside fantastic colleagues and our JAG accreditation is a brilliant outcome for them. We really enjoyed being able to demonstrate the high standards of care and excellent service we provide to our patients. It was a great effort from everyone involved and reflects the passion, talent and dedication of our team.”

Well done and thank you to our staff and consultants for their commitment to achieving this recognition.
