Mr Simon Monkhouse is a Consultant Weight loss & Upper Gastrointestinal Surgeon, providing the full range of weight loss surgery and specialist keyhole surgery (hernias, gallbladders and anti-reflux surgery).
Mr Monkhouse studied at the University of Cambridge and won prizes for academic excellence. Mr Monkhouse was appointed as a Consultant Surgeon at East Surrey Hospital in February 2014.
Mr Monkhouse is the UK leading expert in the Allurion non-surgical weight loss balloon and has established an international reputation in this field, having personally placed over 800 balloons. He works closely with his expert multi-disciplinary team of dieticians and psychologists and heads up the only UK centre of Excellence for this procedure, one of only 6 worldwide.
