Mr Shahab Robati

Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant Specialist
Qualifications: FRCS (Tr & Orth). MSc (Orth.Eng). MBBS. AFHEA.RCPathME

Mr Robati is a Trauma and Orthopaedic Consultant Specialist available for private consultations and surgeries at Healthshare Winchester. He specialises in complex hip and knee surgeries and sports injuries. These include but are not limited to:- hip and knee replacements (small scar surgery); minimal access ACL reconstructions; keyhole knee surgery and hamstring repairs.

Mr Robati has experience both Nationally and Internationally, having trained in numerous hospitals around Kent, Surrey and Sussex as well as in London and Sydney, Australia.

Mr Robati has published in multiple peer-reviewed journals and been awarded numerous awards and grants for furthering orthopaedic research. He has authored the orthopaedic chapter of a popular surgical textbook and is also a Clinical Lecturer and Orthopaedic Lead on the Surgical Sciences BSc at Kings College London Medical School.

Mr Robati strongly believes that surgery should be held off until all nonoperative measures have been considered, liaising closely with physiotherapists and other allied health professionals. He champions enhanced recovery for his patients and is an advocate for day case hip/knee replacement surgery and ACL reconstructions in appropriate patients.

In his spare time, Mr Robati is an accomplished musician (vocals and piano), composing his own music as well as a keen golfer. He also enjoys home improvement DIY projects, especially renovating old Victorian town houses in his spare time.
