Dr Laura Corsinovi is a respected Consultant Cardiologist in Winchester and Basingstoke, in Hampshire. She has more than 20 years of experience as a doctor. She is not only a Consultant Cardiologist, but she is also a Consultant in General Medicine, and she is a strong believer of holistic approach to diseases.

After a Bachelor’s Degree in Medicine with honours from the University of Genoa, Italy, Dr Corsinovi specialised in Cardiology and in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics from the University Hospital of Turin, Italy. She also completed a PhD degree in 2008 about Heart Failure.

Dr Corsinovi came to the UK in 2014 and gained further experience at Guy’s and St Thomas Hospital and the Royal Bournemouth Hospital before becoming a consultant at her current NHS Trust. She works closely with the Royal Brompton Hospital and Harefield where she holds a Honorary Consultant Contract. She works also closely to Southampton University Hospital.

Dr Corsinovi is an expert in diagnosis and treatment of valvular heart disease, cardiomyopathy, hypertension, heart failure, ischemic heart disease and arrhythmias and treats everyday patients with acute and chronic heart problems.

Dr Corsinovi has a special interested in cardiac Imaging. She performs echocardiography (transthoracic, stress and transoesophageal echocardiography), cardiac MRI, and cardiac CT. In her career has done thousands of scans and this allowed her to gain the highest International Certifications (Level 3) in all these different cardiac modalities.

She is very busy in teaching junior doctors and various healthcare professionals. She is the former Governance Lead of the Cardiology Department at Hampshire Hospitals but at present she is focusing on Medical Education.

She is the Director of very successful Hands-on Echocardiography Courses, certified at national level by the British Society of Echocardiography (BSE).

She is part of the national BSE assessors for the national certification of transthoracic echocardiography.

Dr Corsinovi is driven by providing excellent care for all her patients and contributing to develop the future generation of healthcare professionals.

She is an advocate of healthy and active lifestyle to prevent diseases and she has been promoting several charity events.

She lives with her husband who is aerospace engineer working now in developing super cars, and she is passionate about different sports (swimming and skiing in particular) and she loves cooking and baking.
