Following a full career in the army serving in Airbourne, Commando and Special Forces units David transferred to the Royal Army Physical Training Corps attended St Marys University London completing a degree at in Sports Rehabilitation.
He worked at the Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre at Headley Court and later for a private company in an occupational health to ensure the health and wellbeing of the workforce.
This included FSTE 100, National Utilities companies, Police and Fire services, HNS and local government organisations. As a commitment to personal development he completed a post graduate certificate in cognitive behavioural therapy which looks at how thoughts and beliefs affect behaviour. He later used these skills working in the NHS with patients with persistent pain conditions.
The first Sports Rehabilitator to be deployed by the military on war fighting operations.

Member of the therapy team for a private members club that was voted the best private members’ club in the world for 3 years running.
Working with a section of the Fire Service established and oversaw a return to work service for firefighters that significantly reduced days lost to injury, increased return to work rates and achieved a 700% return for the commissioning body.
