Chief Operating Officer

As Co-founder and COO, Neil is responsible for setting the companies vision, aims and strategy to integrate with interfacing community and acute services and leading Healthshare’s involvement in primary care networks.

Neil has an in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector in terms of service design and delivery having established the vanguard multidisciplinary pain and spinal services in the mid 1990’s in London. He has held leadership and advisory roles within the NHS and Independent sectors and currently supports the newly formed South Westminster Primary Care Network in Central London as Vice Chair.

A proud Londoner with a circuitous route into healthcare via the performing arts.

Nick McGrath

Chief Executive Officer

As Co-founder and CEO, Nick is responsible for setting and leading the company growth strategy linked to joint venture partnering, acquisitions and vertical integration while leading on investor and commercial relationships.

Nick has an in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector in terms of clinical delivery and management developed through his 26 years in clinical practice. He has held leadership and advisory roles within the NHS and Independent sectors as part of clinical advisory groups in areas as diverse as pathology, diagnostics and integrated community services.

Originally from Ireland, Nick moved to London to study at Kings College London.

David Jackson

Chief Financial Officer

David is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 20 years experience in growing healthcare businesses, operating at Board level since 2006. In 2010 he was shortlisted for Private Company Finance Director of the year at the FDs Excellence Awards.

Most notably he was founder Chief Financial Officer at Enara Group between 2008-2012, growing the business to become one of the top 5 suppliers of homecare in the U.K. and one of the fastest growing companies in the Sunday Times Fasttrack 2011 before its eventual sale to Mitie PLC in 2012.

Recently he has been Finance Director of Christchurch Neurological Group, a supplier of level 2 and level 3 rehabilitation services for patients with Acquired Brain Injuries to the NHS.

Sen Kandiah

Managing Director – Diagnostics

As MD of Healthshare Diagnostics Sen is responsible for the national delivery of diagnostic services. Sen also leads on new site and service line development across the diagnostics group having previously set up 29 highly successful diagnostic and healthcare centres over the last 25 years.

Sen is CMA qualified accountant and has an in-depth knowledge of the diagnostics sector both nationally and internationally having previously held senior positions with Lodestone Patient Care and subsequently building and successfully exited the MDI Group in partnership with Barclays Ventures.

Sen sits on the National Policy Forum of the Labour Party and was a member of Better Politics Commission

Andy Watson

Managing Director- Clinical Services

As MD of Healthshare Clinical Services Andy is responsible for the national delivery of MSK and related services to Clinical Commissioning Groups. Andy has been with Healthshare for over 5 years and prior to supporting the growth of the business he has had a 25-year career in business and NHS commissioning and strategic delivery. He has a naturally inquisitive approach and has been a technology adopter since the 1980s. When he’s not leading the Clinical Services Team, you’ll find him on two wheels or sculpting in wood though seldom at the same time.

Ellen Calder

Operations Director- Clinical Services

As Operations Director, Ellen is responsible for Healthshare’s operational efficiency, ensuring a seamless patient journey with great clinical outcomes. She has expert knowledge of the Healthcare sector and has built strong relationships with Commissioners and external partners. Prior to joining Healthshare, Ellen started her Career as an MSK Physiotherapist working within the NHS for 14 years, whilst also building a successful Private Practice in Yorkshire. She previously held multiple roles within a variety of Elite sport, which included working at the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games. Ellen qualified from Leeds Metropolitan University in 2002 with a BSc Physiotherapy and is currently undertaking an MSc in Innovation, Leadership and Management. In her spare time she is also a keen hockey player.

Anand Parkanun

Clinical Director

As Clinical Director, Anand is responsible for Healthshare’s clinical leadership to ensure safe, effective, caring and quality clinical service provision. He has deep understanding of the therapy services and his career spans over 20 years in primary and secondary care therapy services. Anand has worked for Healthshare over 8 years in a senior clinical leadership role. He is passionate about innovation and clinical research to enhance the quality of care and reduce the variations in healthcare provision. He has multiple master’s level qualifications including clinical leadership and research from Cambridge University.

Dr Scott McDonald

Medical Director- Diagnostic Services

As Medical Director for the diagnostics division Scott leads on clinical leadership and governance to ensure safe, effective, caring and quality clinical provision. Scott is a Consultant Musculoskeletal Radiologist at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, with a broad and busy clinical practice within diagnostic and interventional musculoskeletal radiology. A consultant since 2011, Scott has been clinical lead for musculoskeletal imaging at Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and served on the educational board of the Cambridge radiology training scheme. Scott has been awarded a Graduate Diploma in Law, with distinction. Dr McDonald is a Fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, and a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh, British Society of Skeletal Radiologists and European Society of Radiology.

Becky Cowderoy

Governance Lead

Becky leads the design and implementation of Healthshare’s governance framework to enable effective delivery of organisational policy objectives, support optimised performance and ensure all statutory and legal obligations are met. Becky commenced her career in healthcare as a chartered physiotherapist. Since joining Healthshare six years ago; in her role as operations manager, Becky contributed to delivering Healthshare’s operational strategy in line with achieving the company’s delivery targets and in doing so driving the business forward. Becky continues to support her professional development through postgraduate education as an Executive MBA student. Outside of work Becky enjoys spending time with her family.

Andrew Cowderoy

Interim Commercial Director (Infrastructure)

As Interim Commercial Director, Andrew is responsible for the project management and go-live implementation of new infrastructure and clinical sites. Projects have included the build and operational delivery of Integrated Diagnostic & Endoscopy centres ensuring regulatory compliance. Andrew is a chartered physiotherapist and joined the business as clinical lead in the North West before joining the London team as operations manager. Andrew has held leadership roles within the private sector that has contributed to his business leadership and commercial acumen. An RAF veteran, Andrew is a PhD student researching transitional depression in the military and, in any spare time he finds, enjoys running and spending time with his family.

Rob Walker

Interim Operations Director- Diagnostic Services

As Operations Director, Rob is responsible for diagnostic operational efficiency, ensuring a seamless patient journey and the highest reporting standards. He has expert knowledge of the Healthcare sector and has built strong relationships with Commissioners and external partners. Rob has 15 years of experience working in healthcare operations and has previously mobilised and run multiple, large community and secondary care contracts, including two-week wait cancer services, in a variety of different specialities. Prior to joining Healthshare, Rob held senior roles at Concordia Community Outpatients and The London Ambulance Service, where, over nearly 10 years he was, amongst other roles, part of the major incident response team and responsible for the safeguarding team.

KP Doyle

Chair

As Chair, KP is responsible for Healthshare’s corporate governance and guiding the executive team with key decision making on the group’s strategic direction and investments. He is a keen advocate of board to ward corporate responsibility in healthcare and putting the patient at the centre of everything we do. KP has a wealth of experience in multi site healthcare services – from running hospitals to gym chains – and much in between. He is also an experienced board operator and healthcare investor, specialising in growth businesses with focus on innovation in outcomes driven and evidence based care.
