Chief Operating Officer

As Co-founder and COO, Neil is responsible for setting the companies vision, aims and strategy to integrate with interfacing community and acute services and leading Healthshare’s involvement in primary care networks.

Neil has an in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector in terms of service design and delivery having established the vanguard multidisciplinary pain and spinal services in the mid 1990’s in London. He has held leadership and advisory roles within the NHS and Independent sectors and currently supports the newly formed South Westminster Primary Care Network in Central London as Vice Chair.

A proud Londoner with a circuitous route into healthcare via the performing arts.

Nick McGrath

Chief Executive Officer

As Co-founder and CEO, Nick is responsible for setting and leading the company growth strategy linked to joint venture partnering, acquisitions and vertical integration while leading on investor and commercial relationships.

Nick has an in-depth understanding of the healthcare sector in terms of clinical delivery and management developed through his 26 years in clinical practice. He has held leadership and advisory roles within the NHS and Independent sectors as part of clinical advisory groups in areas as diverse as pathology, diagnostics and integrated community services.

Originally from Ireland, Nick moved to London to study at Kings College London.

David Jackson

Chief Financial Officer

David is a qualified Chartered Accountant with 20 years experience in growing healthcare businesses, operating at Board level since 2006. In 2010 he was shortlisted for Private Company Finance Director of the year at the FDs Excellence Awards.

Most notably he was founder Chief Financial Officer at Enara Group between 2008-2012, growing the business to become one of the top 5 suppliers of homecare in the U.K. and one of the fastest growing companies in the Sunday Times Fasttrack 2011 before its eventual sale to Mitie PLC in 2012.

Recently he has been Finance Director of Christchurch Neurological Group, a supplier of level 2 and level 3 rehabilitation services for patients with Acquired Brain Injuries to the NHS.

Sen Kandiah

Managing Director – Diagnostics

As MD of Healthshare Diagnostics Sen is responsible for the national delivery of diagnostic services. Sen also leads on new site and service line development across the diagnostics group having previously set up 29 highly successful diagnostic and healthcare centres over the last 25 years.

Sen is CMA qualified accountant and has an in-depth knowledge of the diagnostics sector both nationally and internationally having previously held senior positions with Lodestone Patient Care and subsequently building and successfully exited the MDI Group in partnership with Barclays Ventures.

Sen sits on the National Policy Forum of the Labour Party and was a member of Better Politics Commission

Andy Watson

Managing Director- Clinical Services

As MD of Healthshare Clinical Services Andy is responsible for the national delivery of MSK and related services to Clinical Commissioning Groups. Andy has been with Healthshare for over 5 years and prior to supporting the growth of the business he has had a 25-year career in business and NHS commissioning and strategic delivery. He has a naturally inquisitive approach and has been a technology adopter since the 1980s. When he’s not leading the Clinical Services Team, you’ll find him on two wheels or sculpting in wood though seldom at the same time.

KP Doyle

Chair

As Chair, KP is responsible for Healthshare’s corporate governance and guiding the executive team with key decision making on the group’s strategic direction and investments. He is a keen advocate of board to ward corporate responsibility in healthcare and putting the patient at the centre of everything we do. KP has a wealth of experience in multi site healthcare services – from running hospitals to gym chains – and much in between. He is also an experienced board operator and healthcare investor, specialising in growth businesses with focus on innovation in outcomes driven and evidence based care.

Matt Simcox

Board Member

Matthew joined the Healthshare board in November 2020 and represents our investor BGF on the board of a number of portfolio companies.

Matthew joined BGF in October 2018 to support the growing portfolio. Prior to BGF, Matthew was at Caird Capital, a UK mid-market private equity firm, working closely with portfolio management teams across a range of sectors.  He began his career at Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Banking Group where he held various principal investment and leveraged finance roles before joining Caird in 2010.

Matthew holds an MSC in Management Sciences from Loughborough University and is a Chartered Banker. He is married with three small children, who he spends most of his time outside work trying to keep up with.

Chris Morgan

Board Member

Chris Morgan works at BGF as an Investor in the London Growth team. He has completed investments across a broad range of sectors, but works primarily in Healthcare and Hospitality & Leisure. Chris worked on the original Healthshare transaction in June 2019 and had a in-depth understanding of the company and its strategy for growth. Prior to BGF, Chris ran his own artisanal food business in Winchester before qualifying as Chartered Accountant in Deloitte’s Transaction Services practice in London. He continues to take a keen interest in entrepreneurship and is an alumnus of the NEF Fast Track programme.
