Endoscopy

Treatment that delivers better results

Healthshare Diagnostics has a dedicated endoscopy facility.

Healthshare Clinic West London is a bespoke unit, having two procedure rooms, full pass-through decontamination facilities, consultation rooms, individual recovery cubicles and associated staff areas.

Patients visiting the purpose-built unit will benefit from leading GI consultants using the latest generation of Olympus endoscopes, and clinical staff with extensive JAG (GI Endoscopy) experience.

The unit includes significant investment in new endoscopy and decontamination technologies. The design, layout, quality of care & safety standards of the unit has been reviewed and approved by the industry standard Care Quality Commission (CQC) and has been registered with the Joint Advisory Group (JAG) in preparation for JAG accreditation.

Each unit has a digital track and trace system – assuring each patient procedure and the endoscope used has an electronic footprint showing all elements of the decontamination process, providing complete 360 traceability.

From the nurse recording the pre-cleaning of the endoscope in the procedure room, manual cleaning, automated cleaning and disinfection in the ETD, storage in the EDC and transportation – every step in the decontamination process is electronically recorded against the patient record, supporting a paper-free requirement.

The unit is available for self-pay and private patients, as well as NHS contract, Choose & Book and direct access patients.

Procedures available at the unit include:

  • Gastroscopy
  • Trans-nasal endoscopy
  • Flexible sigmoidoscopy
  • Colonoscopy
  • Polypectomy
  • Haemorrhoid banding/injecting
  • Capsule endoscopy
  • Manometry & PH Bravo capsule studies
