Mr Ernest Barlow-Kearsley

Consultant Podiatric Surgeon
Qualifications: BSc (Hons) Podiatric Studies, FCPodS (Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery), CCPST (Certification in Completion of Podiatric Surgical Training)

Ernest Barlow-Kearsley trained as a Podiatrist in South Africa where he obtained his undergraduate Higher National Diploma in Podiatric Medicine. In 1993 he immigrated to the UK and in 1996 he was awarded a BSc (Hons) in Podiatric Studies from Brighton University.

In 2001 he was awarded his Fellowship in Podiatric Surgery (FCPodS), after which he completed his 3-year post fellowship training in podiatric surgery in 2004 whilst working in a number of locations; Doncaster West PCT (3 years), Homerton University NHS Trust (1 year) and Erewash NHS PCT (6 months). During this time, he gained valuable experience working both in acute and community based podiatric surgical centers. This allowed him to successfully gain his Certificate of Completion in Podiatric Surgical Training (CCPST) from the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery which was duly awarded in 2004.

He currently works in the roles of Podiatric Surgical Tutor Registered with the Faculty of Podiatric Surgery within the Royal college of Podiatry. Additionally, he has been appointed as Clinical Lead in Podiatric Surgery for Central London Community NHS Healthcare based at Charing Cross Hospital.
