Dr Ella Seccombe is a Consultant Dermatologist specialising in all aspects of general dermatology – these include eczema, acne, psoriasis, hair and nail disease, inflammatory skin disease and benign and malignant skin lesions and sun damage. A particular interest hers is paediatric dermatology, including the diagnosis and treatment of eczema, acne, skin lesions, strawberry birthmarks (haemangiomas) as well as other inflammatory rashes.

Dr Seccombe initially trained in London before moving to the Wessex region to complete Specialist Registrar training in Dermatology, and was appointed Consultant Dermatologist at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Trust in January 2020.

Dr Seccombe performs dermatological surgery for a variety of skin ‘lumps and bumps’ including skin cancers and benign lesions on the face and body, and also treats excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis).

In addition to Dr Seccombe’s clinical work, she is also the Postgraduate Education lead for Dermatology in Southampton, and keenly involved with medical student, junior doctor and GP teaching, as well as the Educational supervisor for current Dermatology Specialist Registrars.
